Top projects of 2022 were called out by the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute as leaders in fields like the development and implementation of innovative solutions and effective use of materials.

The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) recently announced the winners of its biennial design and construction awards program, also known as CRSI HONORS.

The Institute selected 10 projects for this coveted recognition after evaluating entrants on merits including satisfaction of owner objectives, development of innovative solutions, effective use of reinforced concrete and overall aesthetics.

Seven of the projects walked away with an HONORS Award while three projects took home Merit Certificate recognition.

“This cycle’s entries represent a wide range of project types from all regions of the United States,” the CRSI stated upon announcing the winners. “Each of the selections demonstrates an excellence in leveraging reinforcing steel’s inherencies as a part of the world’s most popular building material.”

The institute said all projects selected for recognition will be considered for case studies “and for other promotions showcasing steel-reinforced concrete construction.”
