Construction Startup Competition 2021 Opens

CEMEX Ventures has launched the fifth edition of its Construction Startup Competition 2021. The annual competition is fast becoming the best-known global challenge for startups in the construction industry. They are accepting applications until June 27, 2021.

CEMEX Ventures has launched its Construction Startup Competition 2021. The annual competition is fast becoming the best-known global challenge for startups in the construction industry. They are accepting applications until June 27, 2021.

The competition is part of CEMEX Ventures’ open collaborative platform with which they plan to lead the revolution of the construction industry. Their goal is to engage startups, entrepreneurs, universities, and other stakeholders to tackle and solve the challenges in the construction environment and shape the industry’s future.

Under 2021 theme “Build your own legend”, CEMEX Ventures invites startups to participate by submitting concepts in 5 categories:

·         Carbon footprint mitigation

·         Supply chain management

·         Efficient jobsite and built environment

·         Advanced building materials

·         New construction methods

Since the competition’s launch in 2017, more than a thousand startups from more than 80 countries have participated. Given the global outreach of the sponsors, organizers expect to see an increase in the number of applications in the 2021 edition.

Sponsors of the 2021 competition include:  Ferrovial, Hilti, VINCI Group´s Leonard, NOVA by Saint-Gobain, GS Group, and Haskell.
